TAKI NEDEN ÖNEMLİ? #AksesuarDosyası #Trendspotter #summer #JEWELRY

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

WHY JEWELRY IS IMPORTANT?
I spent a good amount of my summer vacation in Cesme Alacati. Alacati is a perfect place for women. Beads-jewelry shops, fancy cafes, cool Portofinolike Italian-like Turkish boutiques selling designs, coolest kimonos for the beach, caftans, posh taverns for women ... Everything there made for women. I got obsessed with the jewelry stores there. Last summer, I visited first Copenhagen + Aarhus and then the French Riviera, France, Spain, Italy, Monaco Monte Carlo ... there were very cool boutiques in Portofino, but not enough jewelry sellers like I found in Alaçatı. Alacatı boutiques are quite expensive, but I liked them all. All the things I bought from Alaçatı- during my stay- are good investments. I'd get snow and memories stayed with me. I wish I had bought more because my jewelry taste is a  snob (OMG I’m jewelry snob!!! ).
All styled outfits without Jewelry look like deserted islands to me. First rule of Styling: jewelry. Rachel Zoe says the more the better/ more huge the better for jewelry. Right now she’s on vacation in Italy on the Amalfi Coast (yes!) . I read her(Rachel Zoe) first released book as I’m back from my holiday that I bought from Amazon dot com. She sports great Italian holiday style. I would suggest you to follow her holiday style from her instagram. Back to her jewelry picks - For example, Rachel Zoe loves jewelry in gold tones .She loves vintage Chanel jewelry. My taste of styling: I love using the summer colors for jewelry during summer like Italian women. The most prominent feature in my own style, made of natural stone jewelry – bracelets in shades of orange, gold, blue, red ... styling the coin necklace - made of a mixture of copper-silver necklaces. I love designer jewelry and buying- collecting designer pieces. My summer jewelry is definetly much more different than what ı use as my winter jewelry. I love dressing in dark colors for winter and vibrant colours + prints for summers. I love using bracelets, cuffs and necklaces as my daily jewelry. My mind is stuck in Alacatı jewelry shops. Here I share the images of my jewelry that I bought from Alacati. I love my jewelry.

WHY DO WE GO TO SHOPPING WHEN WE HAVE 300 CLOTHES AND SHOES AT HOME AND ALREADY IN DEPT?

Now that’s the question. I will start my annual summer vacation next week- officially this week but travelling starts next week and I have lists of clothes and shoes for what I will wear during my vacation. I check my closets that are full of summer clothes and never ever worn before- brand new in box summer sandals and I still keep looking at department stores’ online shops to check sales for summer sandals cause they are tempting and beautiful (while I have many never been worn sandals- with heels and without heels and all my colour taste- at home) . In these just 2 months what we call summer and wait for summer the whole year- I keep asking myself: Do I need alot of clothes for summer? I mean – june was wasted with rainy shitty weather, I could not even wear t-shirt and jeans alone without my jacketsIt’s not fair really. And I don’t live in Spain or Los Angeles to wear summer clothes for 6 months of the year. I can’t also wear most of my summer clothes to work cause of klima – air conditioner. I understand to have many flat ankle cut boots to wear almost all year. And many jeans as basics to wear everyday. Or warm %100 wool jumpers to protect from winter cold. But all those summer sandals I wore once or never make zero sense to me.
On the other hand buying is an addiction. I might be the one who buys- thats the aim- not to wear. Just to buy. What a waste of money in total. My designer bags I bought in my life were the best shopping sprees ever ( hello! Harvey Nichols and Selfridges London ). But I almost never mostly use them not to get them old or ruined. And yes I won’t wear them when I get very old. I need to use them. Seriously! I did not use my Zadig & Voltaire teddy boots in beige scared rain and muld would ruin them. Result: never been worn whole year winter. I was planning to wear them in spring – nay. All rainy spring. Its ridiculus not to use them considering what I paid for them. I hope to start using them in september. I bought most amazing Karl Lagerfeld purses on sale. I used the dark blue one once and the silver one once. I really need to use them more. Good thing I use my Marc Jacobs bags almost every weekend. They are quality leather, great style, hands free use, easy for weekends. I know most of my friends(and people in general) buy clothes to use them and some use immediately after cutting price tags. I have to wait for weeks considering of picturing my haul for my blog and I never write about them. Price tags cut later. And using these clothes later thinking I never use them. Its not fair. I know! I need a life to wear them. I mostly like to wear clothes when I am travelling and getting pictures taken or whenever I am with my husband walking around city. In Aarhus its super duper cold in winter despite that Ice cold I like to wear my skirts and Calzedonia tights. I love all the ankle boots. They are my significant style. In Aarhus and Copenhagen I am more stylish.
I kind of want to stop shopping. Really. I have zillions of jeans and t-shirts and jumpers and knits and boots and sandals and dresses. Half of ‘em I don’t wear most of the year. If I would be my own wardrobe stylist I can say I only use %20 of the clothes I own - I use everyday and mostly they are same basics (lots of t-shirts and jeans. Nothing exciting) . Now the question is: do you really have a style when all you wear is basics? And are you sure you are a fashionista? How? You have amazing pieces you don’t use, you need to coordinate them and style them. Like what French women do. Stand infront of their closet check what you have for hours and even try them on infront of the mirror.
I will dedicate myself using most of the clothing, shoes and bags I have in my everyday life. And you know what? I never got rid off any of my things by selling them. All those vintage shoes I bought from London and Copenhagen. I almost never wear them. I should sell them on ebay or something. They are amazing. I will try to get rid off my shopping habit. In the end isn’t it all commercials and celebrities they make a fake impulse to buy it cause someone like Kate Moss wears it? Isn’t it all about PR and strategy and branding so we pay 150 EUR for a pair of sneakers that was produced for 3,5 USD? Or 1000 EUR for a bag produced for 10 USD ? Can you imagine the profit they make with just a Prada label on a plastic bag sold for 600 EUR?  Just because celebrities are wearing that brand we pay tons of money but they get it for free or even worse they get paid to wear it (Great Life). Celebs have more money than us, they have millions of dollarsthey are the ones who can afford all those designer clothes but we are the fashion victims with almost no money living in full of debt but still splurging designer items just because some celebrity or your dream stylist wear it. Sorry Rachel Zoe, I love you but just because you can afford a Birkin and carry it, I can’t.

MOST STYLISH WOMEN ON THE BEACH

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Beach style is something different. Its the just bikini + flip flops + sunscreen + sunglasses for some basic people but if you are a fashionista the equation is much more complicated. The perfect styling to me is all about being on some beach in Cote D’Azur or Italian islands or Amalfi coast...Thailand, Phuket or Miami are not the destinations I dream. I always like Italian and French coasts cause they remind me of old Hollywood movies. Its all about 70s style and its all about colour print kaftans , wedge espadrilles , deep tan, 70s sunnies , Missoni prints , anything colour , straw beach bag, golden accessories. I remember some socialelites were on the tabloids all over about their beach style (overused jewelry, to the knee Greek sandals , wearing designer dresses to the beach, supercuts and tailored bathing suits ). Rachel Zoe is a great inspiration for jetset life and as a stylist she has a sharp style showing and knowing what she likes and what she doesn’t. She’s totally 70s head to toe. She’s well known for her kaftans, wedge espadrilles , long dresses and big accessories. She loves Hermes and Chanel. She has a style and she stick to it. People who like to try new things is good but its following the trend, style is yours its a definition.
Its also all about how you have things together. Sometimes it doesn’t go with this and that but you just wear it and it only makes you not a stylish one. Sometimes we don’t care. Some fashionistas care it alot. Some women are obsessed with what goes with what and can’t even sleep out of it. One of my designer friends told me that. She was so young and she told me her other girlfriends are not obsessed with fashion and shopping or how to style things together but she was and I was too. I am still but I am not super problem saver. I still think what to wear with my ultra precious Dolce Gabbana espadrilles. Prints and colours are hard to style. Nothing works on my mind with them. I googled them online for styling inspo many many times. They looked super good with my Cheap Monday skinny black jeans (that I bought from Copenhagen last year) but how can I wear black skinny jeans in summer? I will style them with somethings soon. Wait and see !
In my upcoming seaside holidays I will be using my Yargıcı tan shade straw bag, I will use lots of beads all around my arms. I am not interested in that gold fake tatoos that got famous with Beyonce. I loved her candids and what she wore to Italy last month visiting a wedding. I will be wearing flat sandals nude and tan. I am still luring that Ganni nude sandals but I don’t have access to Ganni now. Maybe I can buy them off season and wear next summer. Let’s wait and see. I like denim shorts and tees, I like summer dresses mostly from Topshop. I don’t remember anything I bought from Mango lately. Nothing attracted me in their stores. Zara is super boho chic (and overpriced). I saw some skirts I fell for. In Zara there’s a very Italian prints and colours summer pants.cotton.wide legs. Maybe. No? I have millions of colour print pants at home that I did not wear and should wear while its summer in 2 months of the year. Its super sad June went away cold, very cold with winter clothes. I was so into wearing my skirts with Bodrum tan but I could not. Thanks to the rainy and cold june weather all month. Hope there will be summer in July. I need that. I think my latest sandal obsession brand is Ancient Greek Sandals. They are mostly in nude perfect shades made for me but Beymen is out of stock in almost all of them at my size. I am never in the right place in the right time with enough money to splurge the items that will be sold out soon (all we need is 500.000 $ ). I have a thing for Valentino espadrilles sandals too. I also have a thing for Soludos lately but Vakkorama don’t have any enough stock of them (losing strategy in Buying position Vakko). I never like what buyers of Nişantaşı Topshop choose. Turkey buyers of Topshop in general. Whenever I fall in love with something on their UK web page its never avaible in stores in Topshop Turkiye. I’m going to wear deep tan shade Topshop sandals this summer. I will also wear my Promod sandals bought from Marseille, France last summer. I will wear coin necklace jewelry. I love silver and copper jewelry lately. Its my significant style. I can’t wait about wearing  my summer combinations soon on summer vacay !

Book Review: GIRL ON THE TRAIN – read with holding my breath in a week

It had been quite a while I have finished a book cause normally most crime books were abit boring and slow going I was lately reading Scandinavian crime authors. This book I saw on amazon dot com and reviews and despite ı have tons of books waiting me to read I bought this book getting to the trend of bestseller and reviews on amazon dot com.
Rachel tells her story and you first hear from her side as a a loser in life ex wife of Tom and drunk lost her job lost her husband to Anna who had an affait with him first then Tom and Rachel divorce and after 4 days of divorcing Anna moves in to the same house they used to live behind the railway. Anna has a baby with Tom now and they are a family. Rachel lives with her old school friend outside London in Ashbury and takes commune train every morning pretending to go work, passing every day with a view of perfect couple she sees on their house terrace Jess and James a few houses next to her old house with Tom where she used to live. Jess and James looks perfect golden couple to her- happy, beautiful and together. But nothing seems perfect is like the way they look right? Rachel, in her despondency, has taken to drinking to a point where she has blackouts and forgets that she drunk calls her husband many times a night, even shows up at his home. When Megan left home and got lost, things started to go very wrong around these people , Rachel finds herself in the murder investigation because of what she has witnessed on her daily commute.  She is kind of an outsider with no life but she has connection with everyone in details.
Its a dark story and because she’s mostly drunk you barely think if things she tells on her side of the story is real or her dellusions. The book is a real page turner! I was planning to take it to my summer vacation in July but it did not even last to weekend I finished reading it last night. I can’t wait to watch the movie but actually Emily Blunt was not Rachel in my mind. She’s more like Anne or Megan to me.I feel bad that I finished the book now all other books I have will be hard to read. I’m still under effect cause the characters of the book is very very real and I can say they are in London somewhere still living.

SUMMER MAKEUP FAVORITES

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I am very into new makeup products lately. I like brands like Urban Decay , Nars, Mac , Dior , Chanel. Chanel’s Monte Carlo lipstick is my favorite lip product for summer, feels like a film star - it also reminds me of my Monaco travel last summer, I really felt it was movie effect around Monte Carlo and casinos. The air smelled parfume. Côte d'Azur money talking part. I was on a tour through Cannes , Marseille, Nice, Monaco, Monte Carlo, Sanremo, Barcelona, Cinque Terre, Portofino and Genoa.  My favorite and unreal part was Cote Dazur. I want to go back again someday with my husband.
In summer I can not imagine myself with dark smokey eye makeup. It’s all about getting tan and based on being tan bronze makeup like ads of Estee Lauder in summer.I also can not get enough of terracotta line by Guerlain they have the perfect bronzing powders.
I have Too Faced Chocolate palette and it can be my summer shades for browns and other coordinated chic colours. Naked Palette by Urban Decay is also a must have but it’s shimmery alot. All the glitter mono eye shadows UD have I find them super teenage but super cool.
I normally don’t wear much lipgloss in winter but its a must have in summer. Best lipglosses are by Yves Saint Laurent and Loreal.
Nars O and Laguna Illuminators are also perfect for summer highlighting for cheeckbones before appyling blush or bronzing powder. It gives super glow.
I have makeup face on my instagram account time to time. Don’t forget to check out makeup inspiration, my account is glamrockgal.
